It was a long uphill battle of red tape and council permissions.� Over the last 8 years, our annual Autostyle Motorshow� (see pics of past events here) has grown tremendously and unfortunately the streets surrounding our Umhlanga-Ridge store can no longer be closed for a full day. The awesome folks at Gateway Shopping Center have given us an entire parking area for the motorshow.� Everything will take place at Parkade C at Gateway Shopping Center.

The Autostyle Annual Motorshow will take place on Sunday 2nd October 2011

For the uninitiated, every year we host a massive street motorshow with FREE public entry and events such as Car Styling, Mobile Dyno testing and an IASCA judged Car Audio competition. Starting at 9am on a Sunday morning, we receive about 20 000 people throughout the day.� From local car clubs, petrol heads, families and competitors in our events. Competition entries close at 2pm and the events continue to the early evening! The Autostyle Motorshow is an event not to be missed.

It gets better,� Speed & Sound Magazine will be judging the Car Styling Competition and have put up over R13 000 rand for the winning cars!

A little late this year but it is still happening!   The 2010 Autostyle Autotrader motorshow will take place outside our KZN store on Sunday the 8th August.

This is our 8th year and a highlight in the Kwazulu-Natal motoring calendar.  Each year we block off the streets of Umhlanga-Ridge and for one day, we bring some of South Africa’s hottest, loudest and fasted cars together.

The official competitions that will take place include:

• IASCA sound-off event – cost R100 for 2 runs
• Mobile Dyno Testing  – cost R100 per run
• Autostyle Motorsport Car Styling Event – cost R100 entry

All entries open at 8am and cut off time for entrants is at 2pm.

We have a ton of trophies and prizes to give away to winners, additionally EVERY competitor will receive an Autostyle Autotrader collectors medal as a thank you.
Hot-shot photograper, Dylan of www.DylanTog.com will also be there to hook up one lucky car with an amazing photoshoot session.

FREE entrance for the public, we suggest you park at Gateway Shopping Center and will have dedicated points men all over the place assisting with traffic.

We will also have some amazing vehicle displays from our various suppliers including Sony Mobile, Autotrader, Speed & Sound Magazine, Fire Audio, ICE Power and many more. The boys from the VW Club of South Africa have also set a crazy JHB to KZN “Dub Run” which climaxes at the Autostyle Autotrader Motorshow.

Thats right, we’r days away from our annual motorshow. This year promises to be even bigger and better then the past events! – I’v been told by our Umhlanga colleagues to expect a Hummer sporting 30″ wheels, Calibra’s latest Quantam sound install, Subaru’s, Ford ST’s, custom hotrods and restorations and much more!

Additionally, the big boys from Speed & Sound Magazine and V-Dub Magazine as well as Vic & DJ Ready D From Mzansi Rides will be scouting the area for feature vehicles and images for their publications.
